Hello, everyone!
It’s been a while—about three years since my last update—but I wanted to take a moment to reconnect and share some updates about Authentic Journeys and where it’s headed.
A Shift in Availability: An Update on the Journey Ahead
First, I’d like to acknowledge that my availability for Authentic Journeys has been significantly limited over the past few years due to my full-time work commitments. However, I want to ensure that those seeking support through Authentic Journeys continue to have access to quality resources and assistance.
To achieve this, I’ve partnered with Valerie Bath of Cultural Business Consulting, someone I’ve collaborated with for nearly a decade. Valerie and her team bring exceptional expertise to cross-cultural coaching and professional development. If you submit a request through our contact page, both Valerie and I will review it. Depending on our availability, Valerie or someone from her team will likely reach out to assist you. I’m confident you’ll be in great hands.
Since 2009, Authentic Journeys has focused on fostering cross-cultural understanding, particularly between Indian and American professionals. This has included everything from professional development to maintaining authenticity while navigating new cultural landscapes. Having lived in India for almost a decade (across two stints) and now residing in Salt Lake City for the past seven to eight years, these experiences have profoundly shaped this platform.
As Authentic Journeys evolves, so too will its content. While professional development and cross-cultural topics will remain part of the blog, the focus will expand into areas like:
You might already notice the beginnings of this transition in a few blog posts published two to three years ago. Moving forward, I’ll share reflections based on my personal experiences, learnings from other creators, motivational quotes, and insights into how these concepts intersect with cross-cultural and professional contexts.
Connecting the Dots: An Update on the Journey Ahead
At first glance, these topics may seem unrelated to Authentic Journeys’ traditional themes. However, in my view, they’re deeply interconnected. Navigating professional and cross-cultural settings authentically requires a strong foundation in self-awareness, mindfulness, and confidence. These elements are crucial to showing up as your authentic self—no matter where you are in the world or who you’re working with.
I’m excited about this new direction and hope to create content that bridges the timeless values of Authentic Journeys with these emerging ideas. While the focus will broaden, the underlying mission remains the same: helping individuals and teams navigate their unique journeys with authenticity and confidence.
Thank You
Thank you for taking the time to read “An Update on the Journey Ahead.” I’ll continue to refine these ideas and share more as the journey unfolds. Your support means the world to me, and I hope we’ll stay connected as Authentic Journeys enters this new chapter.
Warm regards,
Jennifer Kumar
