5 Facts about People of Indian Origin in America

When talking about people from India in the U.S.A., there are many stereotypes and misconceptions. Based on a 2014 study completed by the Pew Research Center, let's see some facts about people with roots from South Asia and India in the U.S. 
  1. Almost 88% of people from India in the U.S.A. are recent arrivals. 
  2. 70% of Indian-Americans have college degrees. 
  3. South Asian Indians belong to one of 7 different religions or spiritual paths. 
  4. $88,000 is the median average income of Indian-American families in America. 
  5. 65% of people from India identify with the Democratic party.
