Indra Nooyi: 3rd Most Powerful Woman

There's something a little exciting about knowing you "shared a college campus" with an influential leader like Indra Nooyi. An alum of Madras Christian College (some years before me, of course), Indra was born in India and like other influential NRI (Non-Resident Indian), moved to the U.S. for studies, gradually climbing her way up the corporate ladder to the status of CEO of PepsiCo. in 2001. Currently, she is ranked as the third most powerful woman in business by Fortune Magazine.

While she is well known as a motivator and there are many speeches of hers found on YouTube, I have chosen two videos to share with you in this post.

In this first video, Indra shares the challenges of being a working mother. I think her approach is uncharacteristically honest, which is quite refreshing.

In this second video, you can hear about Indra's life story. It's interesting to hear about her background and story up til now. I hope you have time to listen to both videos.

Thank you for reading this post.
