Technopark, Trivandrum - 25 Years

A few weeks ago, I was walking down the very same hall shown to the right in the Nila building in Technopark asking my client, "How long has Technopark been here?" And, today again, I am being reminded - 25 years. Wow, 25 years!

The first time I passed the gate of Technopark in Kazhakootam on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), the year was 2006. Though already almost ten years have passed since that day, I was surprised to hear how long Technopark has been around. Today, I came across a video (shown below) celebrating 25 years of Technopark. I really like the angle they have taken in the video. Rather than telling the story of the companies and the IT workers, they have highlighted the stories of the people who really make the IT park tick under the surface, the drivers, mechanics, cooks, janitors and other staff who we may ask for help and work hard to keep the place safe, clean, and welcoming. Theirs is the hard job, without much daily appreciation, though they actually deserve the most kudos of all. Though the video is in Malayalam, I hope even if you don't speak Malayalam or understand the language, you would take a look at the video as it is really well made and inspiring.  Scroll below the video for more photos of Technopark and some of the awesome people I have met there.
